Social media got bigger.

We think it’s time
to make it closer.

Groups are the new social network. One private foundation can serve many real-life relationships.

One home for your real life

Chat first.
Everything else follows.

OMA begins where your friendships already live: in the conversation. The useful things around it stay within reach.

01

Talk naturally

Chat stays at the center, with the people and context that already matter.

02

Share privately

Photos, videos and everyday moments go to your circle—not a public audience.

03

Make things happen

Plans, locations and shared expenses live beside the conversation that created them.

Designed with boundaries

Privacy should feel
effortless.

Not a settings maze. Not a promise hidden in legal copy. Privacy is part of how OMA behaves.

01

Private by default

Your group is the boundary. Nothing is public unless you choose it.

02

People, not algorithms

No influencer feed and no engagement machine deciding what you see.

03

Permission with a clock

Presence and location are explicit, temporary and easy to stop.

04

Built from Europe

GDPR-first foundations, minimal metadata and a path to end-to-end encryption.

05

Rebuild the social fabric

Build European social technology that rewards time together, strengthens belonging and puts people before attention.

OMA shares the long-term direction of the Rebuild Letter : European social platforms should help people connect, organize and belong—without stealing their time.

Plan · coordinate · remember

More time together.
Less app-hopping.

The OMA roadmap

Build the foundation.
Learn before expanding.

OMA grows from a working private-social core into carefully bounded trials. Each stage is an opportunity to learn—not a promise that every concept will ship.

01 · Now

OMA 1.0

Early access MVP

Private friend groups and Trips are the product today: conversation, Moments, plans, expenses and explicit coordination in one place.

OMA 1.1

Five paths · one shared place layer

One OMA, five paths into real life. Trips, Explore, Hangouts, Date and Work share a stable Home, Groups, Inbox and Me foundation. Each path has its own context, objects, lifecycle and primary action without becoming a separate mini-app.

Typed invitations open a safe preview first; consent creates the connection. OMA Places is the shared layer for saving favourites, choosing a place with Maps or a manual link, and bringing it into an existing Plan or group conversation—not a sixth tab or a people map.

Commercial trials

OMA Marketplace tests whether trusted identity can make local exchange more accountable. Anyone can browse; buyers and sellers verify their identity before trading.

For the pilot, transactions and payments remain outside OMA. Protected or integrated transactions can follow only if real demand and safe operating evidence justify them.

go next.

Youth, Clubs, Events, APU and Place Circles are future concepts to test after learning from the MVP and early commercial trials. Their timing, shape and inclusion in the product remain open.

A return to the original idea

Built once before.
Reimagined for now.

In 2000, Ville Penttilä co-founded Wiral in Helsinki—building presence, messaging and location-based social experiences years before smartphones made them everyday behavior.

OMA brings that original conviction into a new era: technology should help real friends stay close, without turning their relationships into content for an audience.

“The next great social network won’t be public. It will feel like your own circle.”

For investors and partners

Let’s build the private
social layer for real life.

OMA Labs is building a private-social foundation that begins with friend groups and Trips. We are exploring what can responsibly follow through Places, commercial trials and future concepts—without turning exploration into a promise. We welcome investors and partners who share this long-term view.
